Almost a year has passed

Hi there, Pupils of 4^Commitment!

Time really flies. It's now the end of the school term for you. It's really been an exciting year getting to know all of you, strengths, weaknesses, quirks and all. Still remember walking around in Chinatown for our heritage tour, growing bigger with the mealworm beetles :P, having our HPB presentations and so much more. I'll miss all of you.

I'm thankful that I have had the opportunity to be your form teacher this year. We had our ups and downs through the year, and I'm really encouraged to see some of you making positive changes in your attitude! Continue to keep up the good work! For those who are still feeling challenged in other aspects, may you be blessed with the determination to reach your fullest potential!

Here's hoping that you will have a fruitful holiday and an amazing time with your family and loved ones wherever you may be. Take good care of yourself, and be recharged and refreshed for 2010! :)

Pupa!

Some information on the mealworm beetles!
These are the pupas which Ilyas brought to school a few weeks ago. Can you recall what is happening to the pupa at this stage?

That's right! It's developing adult structures to enter into its next stage! The picture below will give you a clearer picture of how it looks like. What does it remind you of?

We shall wait patiently for the larvas in Miss Neo's home to transform into pupas. I'll keep you updated! :)

You could go to this site to see the pictures of the adult mealworm beetles! The egg stage is missing though.

Updates on the mealworm beetles (again)

Hi pupils!

Miss Neo just did some clearing up of the home of the mealworm beetles as many of them have shed their skin! They are still in their larva stage. It'll take some time. Don't worry about it. They are still well. Here's a snapshot of one of them which just moulted.

Say hi to 'pinky'!Here's a video of how big the mealworms are, about the same size as the last video. Look at how fast they move.

A-L.I.F.E.ly Week 2009

Wow! Last week just flew past so quickly. What did you learn during the week? I hope you worked hard and played hard too!

Here are some snapshots of the happenings during last week!

Thursday morning work-out, learning the Haka Dance (a traditional dance form of the Maori of New Zealand) from Mr. Muru.

The finale on Friday! The games were so much fun! Traditional games by some of the teachers and the P6s really put in a lot of effort in preparing the games for us. Kudos to the P6s teachers and pupils for the great ideas and hard work!

And our project display on South Korea and the national costume! Thank you Sandy for being our lovely model to take the time and effort to don the national costume of S. Korea! :)

Did you enjoy your trip to HealthZone? I sure did. There were many fascinating things I learnt and saw there. And it was also interesting to see how some of your classmates would look like if they wore spectacles (photos not uploaded to protect their privacy). :)

Your group should be able to come up with your K-W-L by the end of this week. Please let me have a look at what you have come up with. All the best!
